Golang Job: DevOps Engineer

Artesion is project funded and you’d be getting in on the ground floor with an opportunity to grow your skillset as you contribute to the core platform while making a competitive wage. We are looking for an ambitious mid-level DevOps person who wants to grow with the company.

Basic Qualifications:

· Well versed in unix operating systems and have experience with scripting languages such as bash, python, perl, etc.

· You’ve built your own Kubernetes cluster from scratch, so you know the ins and outs.

· Automation is your principle. You strive to automate all deployment tasks.

· You have a working knowledge of Docker and related technologies.

· Familiarity with Postgres, MariaDB, MongoDB and high availability concepts are preferred.

· Familiarity with one or more cloud provider is desired.

· Gitlab CI experience is a plus, but Github, Jenkins, etc, will also be OK.

Nice to have qualifications:

· You are familiar with higher level languages such as Golang, Java, etc.

· You’ve spent time working intimately with multiple kubernetes clusters, and are familiar with all the aspects of it (Helm, Kustomize, etc.)

· Working knowledge of Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.

To be successful in this role, you will:

· Develop scripts to automate everything

· Implement monitoring and alerting capabilities in the future

· Be responsible for the scripting, building, and deploying of Kubernetes edge instances.

· Troubleshoot Kubernetes problems (e.g performance, high availability and failover), develop tools to expedite resolution of problems (e.g. recover failed instances), and recommend solutions to prevent problems occurring in the first place

· Research and evaluate technologies to adopt into our technology stack

· Be a self-starter able to solve your own problems in a creative way and has a deep desire to learn and grow their skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $96,425.00 - $134,948.00 per year
